Catalina Cruz
Catalina Cruz
I joined a volunteer team to get the first DREAMer—Catalina Cruz—elected to the New York State Assembly. I designed a visual identity that reflected both Catalina’s personality and the diversity of her constituents. It was designed so that community members could easily participate in it. Catalina was just sworn in in January, 2019, defeating the incumbent.
Design of custom responsive website. The site was built so that the campaign team could update platform positions, events, and news items.
The bright, bold campaign identity was easy for supporters to print out on office paper and create signs.
The visual identity had a bold presence on social media.
The photography of Jason Falchook was central to the campaign. It was important for us to reflect the community in the campaign.
